Besides the weather channel on tv and online, the newspaper has the weather section in it. The weather section has forecasts to show people what the weather is for a week. This is how you read the weather section of the newspaper. 5-day forecast map is the map you read for your main weather forecast. For example: if you wanted to know when the weather is today, you would see 68 degrees. It would aso say that it will be mostly cloudy and warmer. Other maps and things that they include in this section are: Regional forecast maps, national forecast map, the area almanac, and the moon phases. Importance of the forecast

The importance of the forecast is very high because the forecast tells us what kind of weather it is going to be like in the present and future. To tell the difference between hot and cold weather of the forecast is important because you don't want to wear the wrong clothes that make you hot or cold. And you can also get sick if you don't wear a lot of layers of clothes during the cold seasons. For predicitng weater, the 1 day forecast is easier to predict for future weather then the 10 day forecast. 1 day is more predicable because, during the week the weather can change. Radar

Radars are used by meteorologists to tell people what kind of weather is happening in different areas in the United States. It is different from maps because unlike weather maps, radars can tell more information on the weather in the areas. The symbols of a radar are the following:

What kind of maps are easier? The weather maps or the radars? Personally, I think the weather maps are easier because the symbols are easier to understand and read. Also, you can get information a lot quicker using the weather maps rather then using the radar. However, which ever way you go, radars are useful to determine the weather in the future and they have more information than regular weather maps.
